                               RESOLUTION NO. 19210
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, THE CITY
                   FINANCE OFFICER, AND THE ADMINISTRATOR OF
                   THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES TO ENTER
                   INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE M. L. KING
                   BOULEVARD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
                   FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY HAMILTON
                   COUNTY AND THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 WHEREAS, the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County
       jointly own certain property identified as State Tax Map Numbers
       146H-A-016, 146H-A-017, and 146H-A-019; and,
       	    	 WHEREAS, said property is located on Flinn Street
       adjacent to property leased by the M. L. King Boulevard Community 

       Development Corporation more commonly referred to as the TVA 
Solar
       Training Institute; and,
       	    	 WHEREAS, the M. L. King Boulevard Community Development
       Corporation has requested that said property owned by the City 
and
       County be leased to the Corporation for the purpose of
       constructing a parking lot for use by the TVA Solar Training
       Institute; and,
       	    	 WHEREAS, said City- and County-owned property is vacant
       and there are no current or future plans for use of the property
       by the City of County.
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor, the City
       Finance Officer, and the Administrator of the Department of
       General Services be and are hereby authorized to enter into a
       lease agreement with the M. L. King Boulevard Community
       Development Corporation for a period of ten (10) years according
       to the terms set out in said lease.
